Typerobics is a journal. And is a style catalog. And it’s a skill improvement method. But above all, Typerobics is a workout, disguised as a game.
This project started as a way for me to quickly improve my type design skills. The idea was borrowed from Oscar Guerrero Cañizares‘ daily exercises, and then adapted to fit my needs (by adding constraints and/or rules).
Initially, TypeCooker was extensively used, although a more free approach to the designs has taken over, as time went by.
For you to know how this works (you might be even thinking on doing it on your own), here are the rules:
- Every image is done under 40 minutes;
- Change style every time;
- Post every sketch publicly, no matter how bad it looks.
